Tell me a bit about yourselves and how you got into golf?
I started golf when I was 3 years old. My dad is a golf coach so he handed me a club the minute I was born basically haha.
He said until I’m 18 I have to play and after that I can decide myself as I’m an adult then and he can’t tell me what to do but I did decide pretty early that golf was the sport/ job I wanted to pursue.
When I was 14 I joined the German national team and have been apart of it ever since. The support they give us is amazing !
What is your favorite club in your bag?
I always say my Driver just because I hit it quite straight and when others might hit it longer than me I have the advantage to hit it straight and exactly where I wanted to hit it.
What is your greatest golf moment?
I have so many great golf memories so I probably couldn’t name just one.
But I would say playing the Youth Olympics in Nanjing for Germany. That was the best two weeks ever and just makes me want to make the olympics this year even more. I came 4th in the individual tournament and was the best European so that was quite cool.
What is your goal with golf?
My goal is to eventually play on the LPGA, play in the Olympics and win lots of tournaments. I know probably every golfer says that but yeah that’s what I would like to achieve.
How is it to be on the Ladies European Tour?
The Ladies European Tour is great ! All the girls are so amazing and I’ve played with many of them since being an amateur so it’s great to compete against them on tour as well. It’s really friendly on our tour so that makes traveling and being away from home that long a lot easier too.
How do you think we can get more women to start playing golf?
Golf is an amazing sport that can bring all ages, genders together that I think some other sports can’t do.
I think there are more women starting to get into golf but golf is a sport that takes up a lot of time and energy.
It’s a sport that I think is amazing especially for women you can just go out for an afternoon with your girls and play some golf and chat whilst enjoying the outdoors.
I hope more women give golf a chance.
Who is your golf role model and why?
I get asked who my favorite player or role model is quite a lot but I have to say I don’t really have one favorite player.
I mean of course Tiger Woods is a big inspiration with what he has achieved and changed with the game of golf. Also I really loved how Seve Ballesteros played golf. His story on how he became so great is amazing and I loved his passion for the game and how he showed that on the course when he played. Aso we have the same birthday so how can he not be an inspiration to me haha.
Do you have any special habits during a golf round or any lucky object with you?
I don’t really have any lucky objects with me on the course.
I do have some superstitions but they always change. Depends how I’m playing.
If I just holed a birdie putt and I had my glove on my alignment sticks and the next time I missed when I had my glove in my back pocket then the glove has to go back on to the alignment sticks.
But yeah it changes every week.

What do you think about women golf clothing?
I think it’s growing a lot.
There are more companies getting into women’s golf clothing and changing it to a more fashionable and sporty version so it’s great.
Do you work with any sponsors or golf brands?
I have just changed to adidas apparel so really happy with that as their clothing and shoe range is amazing.
When I turned professional in 2015 I switched to Mizuno Golfclubs and am super happy. I love their equipment and they support me amazingly. Can only recommend them.
I also have JA Resorts & Hotels as one of my sponsors. They’ve also supported me since being on tour and am very grateful for their help ! Also if anyone is looking for a hotel in Dubai, Seychelles or Maldives I can only recommend their hotel. They’re all amazing !!
If you could choose one golf player to play a round with, who would it be?
This is a really hard one !! I’d love to play with so many but if I had to choose one I think it would be Tiger Woods.
How much do you travel for golf?
I travel around 25 weeks a year for golf. So I’m not home that often.
What is your favorite course to play?
I love playing the Emirates Golf Course in Dubai.
Did you manage to make a hole in one yet?
I have yes. I’ve made three so far. The first one I ever made was when I was about 10 and I still had to hit my driver on the par 3, I was playing quite bad so when I hit the shot I just saw it going towards the green so that “ah that will be fine, somewhere on the green” so I didn’t watch it go in I just heard everyone cheering.
The second one was last year and the third was just this February 2020!
